Job description
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of appropriate health sector responses (policies, strategies, interventions, tools, guidelines and manuals).
  • Strengthen the capacity of partners in contributing to the generation of a stronger evidence base for designing health system interventions.
  • Contribute to the health systems development portfolio. Contribute to national and international policy dialogue for health systems.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing post-graduate education programmes
  • Identify and further develop opportunities through pro-active acquisition, tendering and networking with potential funding partners and/or mechanisms.

Requirements

  • Relevant academic degrees including post graduate qualifications in one or more of the following: health economics, health technology assessment, health policy & management or equivalent.
  • A maximum of three years research/working experience in developing countries in the field of health economics, health technology assessment, health finance / health insurance, health management and public-private arrangements in healthcare is an important advantage
  • Relevant experience in training, teaching, curriculum development, training of trainers, and quality assurance will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as being a good team player.
  • Ability to travel abroad regularly.
  • Proficiency, orally and in writing English is required, and French is an important advantage.

Conditions of employment

Appointment is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension.

The salary based on age, qualifications and experience, between €2.579,- and €3.904,- gross per month for a 38-hour working week. In addition, there is an 8% holiday allowance and admission to the KIT pension fund (Abp).

It is a multidisciplinary department generating knowledge and translating knowledge into policy and practice, providing post-graduate education and advisory work.
